Minister of Finance Nominee, Ken Ofori-Atta says re-introducing the Agyapa deal to Parliament as announced by President Akufo-Addo during the State of the Nation Address will allow the House to reassess the deal to ascertain the issues raised as well as the risks involved.

Answering questions before the Appointments Committee, on a report on the analysis of corruption and risk assessment on the Agyapa Deal by former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, Mr. Ofori-Atta maintains that the deal is well planned to raise more revenue.

Responding to questions on the minimum wage for public sector workers, Mr. Ofori-Atta said though the Tripartite Committee did not meet before the presentation of the 2021 budget, it will be imperative that a prompt meeting is held to iron out the issues.
