GIBA welcomes moves by NCA to shut down TV Stations operating illegally

The Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association, GIBA has welcomed moves by the National Communication Authority to shut down TV stations operating illegally.

Speaking on Behind the News, President of the Association Andrew Danso Ahenkora, however asked that the affected parties be given the opportunity to remedy the situation by getting their stations properly regularized.

He noted that the affected stations must be educated on laws binding the media to prevent recurrence in the future.
