Some Ghanaians have developed high preference for herbal medication without proper professional advice on its dosage to treat various kinds of ailments including malaria.
However, health experts have warned that this practice poses a serious health risk to users if such herbal concoctions are abused.
Speaking to GBC News, Deputy Programmes Manager of the National Malarial Control, James Frimpong, said people who patronize unapproved herbal medicines are likely to encounter serious health complications like damage to some of their internal organs.
