The National Security Advisor, Albert Antwi Boasiako has stressed the need for individuals and corporate entities to be cyber security conscious as Government strives to put in place measures to deal with cyber-attacks.

Speaking to business news at the climax of the cybersecurity awareness month in Accra, Mr. Albert Antwi Boasiako is of the view that, although some successes has been achieved in recent times, there is the need to protect critical National Information infrastructure as well as intensify public awareness and education.

He added that the main goal of the cybersecurity awareness creation is to enable citizens to become aware of the threats of cyber pranks and also the need to ensure cyber security as an individual, as a business, as a government institution and the general public who are users of electronic services.

“If you are a business, you need to train your employees because they are the first target – point of contact for cyber criminals, if you are a government institution in highlighting the need to secure government communication and data. These are expectations as far as the awareness creation is concerned” he said.
