The Daily Graphic is happy that the call for a legislative instrument on mental health has received the necessary attention. It notes that the LI will, to a large extent help remove the numerous human rights barriers to mental health to allow mental patients to receive the needed treatment and rehabilitation. The paper adds its voice to the call by the Chief Executive Officer of the Mental Health Authority for the immediate reconstitution of the Governing Council of the Mental Health Board which has been non-existent for the past two years.
The Ghanaian Times calls for justice for Saudi Journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The paper says there is the need for thorough investigation into what it describes the heinous crime by a nation against its own citizen. The Ghanaian Times wants to see the perpetrators brought to book and made to pay the highest price for the crime they have committed against Khashoggi.
