The Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Abukari Mahama, has identified education as key in achieving national development stressing that the sector is one of his priorities as the king of the Dagbon Traditional Area.
He said apart from the construction of schools and other interventions to improve education, he has set up an Educational Fund to support needy but brilliant students.
Ya Na Abukari said this in an interview with the media in Yendi in the Northern Region.
He said apart from the fund, lands have also been allocated for the construction of schools in his Kingdom.
