Residents of Adentan have embarked on a demonstration as part of measures to put pressure on government to complete footbridges on the Madina- Adentan-Aburi highway.

The demonstration comes on the back of rising pedestrian deaths on the Highway, sparking chaos and roadblocks by the residents last Thursday.

So far, 24 people have been killed on the road, with 164 others sustaining injuries.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Roads and Highways has announced that work on the six (6) uncompleted pedestrian bridges in Adenta will commence within a week.
