Former President John Mahama mourns with Bishop Dag Heward-Mills

Former President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday, April 21, 2022, visited the founder and General Overseer of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC), Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, at his residence in Accra.

The visit was to mourn with the Bishop on the loss of his son, Dr. David Heward-Mills.

Dr. David Heward-Mills, the eldest son of Bishop Heward-Mills, was reported dead after a short illness.  The young psychiatric doctor died at age 31.

In a Facebook post made after the visit, former President Mahama wrote, “Losing your child is a painful experience. Bishop Dag, his family, and the church’s loss are our loss. We all feel deep pain.”

The former President was accompanied by the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, former Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Alex Segbefia, and other party executives.
