The Bridge over the Lakplakpa River on the Accra bound section of the Motorway has been opened. The bridge was closed to traffic since Monday (June, 13, 2022) for repair work which resulted in heavy vehicular traffic.
The situation gets worse especially during the rush hours, where motorists spend several hours in traffic on the Motorway.
The Sector Minister, Kwasi Amoako-Atta who visited the site said he was going to spend the night there to ensure that the Motorway is reopened to traffic this morning.
Director of Communications at the Ghana Highway Authority, Cecil Obodai Wentum confirmed that the work has so far been completed and more would be carried out down the line.
