The Hockey Men’s team of Ghana were thumped 6-0 by their English counterparts in the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth games.
The host country kicked off Day 1 on a winning note with Nick Bandurak scoring a hat trick and a goal each from Phil Roper, Will Calnan and David Condon.
Meanwhile, the female team were thrashed 5-0 by India. The Indians opened score on the 3rd minute and doubled their lead before halftime but try as team Ghana may Elizabeth Opoku and her mates couldn’t stop the Indians from adding 3 more goals before full time. Their next match is against host England.
