Ghana Health Service begins distribution of long lasting treated nets in Accra

The Ghana Health Service will from Thursday begin the distribution of long lasting treated nets to registered households in the Greater Accra Region.

The exercise which will end on the 28th of this month is targeting about four million people in the region for the distribution of two million bed nets.

Registration for the bed nets was done last week and those who took part are to present their code cards given them during the registration at the designated distribution points to redeem their allocated nets.

Regional Director of Health Services, Mrs Charity Sarpong, in an interview with GBC said the nets which have security features are not for sale.
