Manie Christine Patience, captain of the Cameroon female national football team, has admitted that their final group match against Ghana would still be difficult despite her side tagged as favourites.
The Cameroonian side look the stronger of the two having won all two games and conceding one, whilst their host opponent have won one and lost one.
The skipper told the media at a press conference ahead of the match that, the Ghanaian side cannot be underestimated and that, they would play with all seriousness the game deserves.
Cameroon will only need a draw to get to the next stage of the tournament, but Patiance said they would play for all three points.
“As the host nation they have a lot to do and to prove but we will start talking among ourselves about concentration and winning,” she said.
“Ghana is a football nation and you can’t take that away from them and so we can’t predict the scoreline but we are determined to do our best and win.”
The match would be played on Friday at 18:30 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium with only a win as the only favourable results for the host team.
