NDC Elections: 1,862 delegates ready for Youth, Women’s Conference

A total of One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Sixty Two (1,862) delegates made up with One Thousand and Fifty-Nine (1059) delegates for the Youth Wing and Eight Hundred and Three (803) as women delegates drawn from all the sixteen regions, Parliament and other recognized persons or Intimations are expected to converge at UCC Examination Hall for a day conference.

The National Democratic Congress is expected to hold its 10th national conference to elect National Officers: The Youth and The Women Wings of The Party slated for Saturday 10th December, 2022 at the Central Regional Capital, Cape Coast.

In all, the Vetting Committee has cleared a total of eighteen (18) people for six (6) positions available.

Madam Margerat ANSEI is running against the incumbent, Dr. Hannah Louisa Bisiw, for the position of Women Organizer, while four (4) candidates are running for the position of Deputy Women Organizer: Hajia Alijatta Sulemana, Abigail Akwabea Elorm Mensah, Jessie Adams, and Felicia Dzifa Tegha, with two being elected by a simple majority of the total votes cast.

For the Youth Organizer position, the current Organizer, George Opare Addo, also known as Pablo, is facing strong opposition from the camp of BROGYA GENFI, the former Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer.

Ten (10) people are campaigning in each of the sixteen (16) regions, with only two (2) people being elected as Deputy Youth Organizers.

The Ten Deputy Youth Aspirants are:
