13 young journalists have undergone five months of training in Investigative Journalism.
The move is to inspire and support quality and impactful Journalism in Africa. The training will also equip the fellows to ask the right questions and hold public and Government officials accountable in order to keep the public purse intact.
The Media Foundation for West Africa’s (WFWA) Next Generation Investigative Journalism Fellowship 2022, fellows were taken through Illicit Financial Flows, Fact-Checking and Mobile Journalism among others.
The Executive Director of MFWA, Mr Sulemana Braimah urged media owners to “invest in Investigative Journalism” and the journalists, to “help fight corruption”.
The fellows were presented with certificates and awards.
