The First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo has raised issue with subtle but persistent perceptions that women should be confined to domestic chores and caring for children.
According to her, this hampers the development particularly of women in the business sector.
She said the situation is even worse for women with disabilities as most of them are denied education and opportunities that could completely change their lives.
Mrs Akufo Addo was speaking at a fundraising Gala to raise four million cedis in the next two years to support women entrepreneurs with disabilities.
