The 1980-year group of Wa Secondary School Old Students Association (WASSOSA) has presented a duplicator and two projectors to Wa Senior High School (WASEC).
The equipment, which are valued at 44 thousand Ghana Cedis were handed over to the School by the Spokesperson of the 1980-year group of the Association, Ambrose Yennah.

GBC’s Emmanuel Mensah-Abludo in this report says that self introduction by the old students at the event drew cheers and applause whilst the students also gave beautiful rendition of their School anthem.

Making the presentation, the Spokesperson of the 1980-year group, Mr Ambrose Yennah indicated that they contacted the headmaster of WASEC earlier to know some of the needs of the school and therefore settled on a particular package to donate.

“So in our own wisdom as a small group of 1980, decided that we should do something in the area of equipment. We understand that your duplicating machine was out of use, so we are here to present to you a duplication machine. It is not a photocopier, there is a difference between a photocopier and a duplication machine. This one is very rapid, very fast, it goes about 45 to 230 copies per minute. So it is going to help the teachers to photocopy a lot of papers for you to aid your studies and for the teachers themselves to aid their teaching.”
“That is not all, we also have two projectors equipped with Wi-Fi to help teachers impart knowledge by projecting what is being taught, so that all of you can see and appreciate things better,” he added.
The Headmaster of WASEC, Adams Iddrisu Third man who took delivery of the items very appreciative from the 1980-year group of WASSOSA.
He stated: “I am so much delighted to receive these equipment from the 1980-year group. In fact when we cried out, little did we know that it will go very far, but through the media, I think we are blessed to have these equipment. It is our hope and prayer that you will continue to do similar good jobs and other year groups will emulate.”

Mr. Thirdman charged the students to learn hard to justify the support from the old students to the school.

The National President of WASSOSA, Prof. Robert Yennah asked the students of WASEC to utilize the time appropriately in order to shape their destinies jus like the way blacksmiths hammer and shape metals to desired forms. He equally thanked the 1980-year group of WASSOSA for providing the equipment which he described as “indispensable tools” for WASEC to play its role in training students.

Prof. Yennah commended the teachers of WASEC for their dedication to duty but entreated them to go the extra mile in helped the young people to realise their dreams.
