The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Aspirant for Ho Central Lawyer Selorm Kwame Dey has donated learning material worth thousands of Ghana cedis to Basic Schools in his Constituency.

It was all joy and excitement in the hearts and faces of the pupils of Taviefe Evangelical Presbyterian Basic and Taviefe Aviefe Roman Catholic schools when over 280 students across both schools received Note 1 Exercise books, Mathematical Sets, Pens, Pencils, Erasers, Sharpeners and Rulers from the Lawyer as a way of promoting effective teaching and learning.

Lawyer Selorm Kwame Dey, among other things, also donated Ghana Education Service approved English Text Books to both schools to help improve literacy levels, which he said, “is a major issue in schools today”.

Lawyer Selorm, in an interview, said this forms part of his “vision of a One Million Ghana Cedi seed fund for Education for Ho Central Constituency”.

According to him, he plans to leverage his international network as well as relationships in corporate Ghana to fulfill this vision.

He has consulted for major companies in oil and gas, insurance, telecom, as well as the Ministry of finance and the Minister of health as part of his professional experience.

He made the donations on the 9th of March 2023.
