IGP in Kumawu ahead of Tuesday’s by-election

Ghana’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has touched base in Kumawu in the Ashanti Region to assess security preparedness ahead of Tuesday, May 23, 2023, by-election.

Ghana’s police chief, currently in Kumawu, is said to have had officers and men deployed on the ground.

The IGP and other senior police officers have been walking through the town’s streets.

They have been interacting with community members, Police officers, and motorists as part of a security tour ahead of the upcoming by-election.
