The Overlord of the Gonjaland, the Yagbonwura and a delegation from the Savannah Region have paid a courtesy call on President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.
The call was to thank the President for his support during the enskinment of the Yagbonwura in February 2023.
President Akufo-Addo hailed the peaceful manner in which succession to the Gonja Paramountcy takes place, calling on other traditional entities to emulate it. He thanked the Yagbonbwura for his commitment to peace in the Gonja Kingdom.
The Yagbonwura thanked the President and his Vice for their support during the burial of his predecessor.
He further pledged to ensure lasting peace in the Gonja kingdom.
