A ban on commercial activities on the day of the referendum for the Creation of a new Region in Brong Ahafo has been announced in the Ahafo area of the Region.
This is to afford prospective voters the opportunity to fully participate and vote YES to the creation of the Ahafo Region.
The Omanhene of Kenyasi number one, Nana Osei Kofi Abiri, who is also a member of the Ahafo Council of Chiefs for the proposed Ahafo region, made the announcement.
He also revealed, that all churches and religious organizations have been asked to suspend all conventions and religious programmes until after the referendum.
