Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has welcomed Italian President Sergio Mattarella to Ghana for bilateral talks that would be mutually beneficial to both countries.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to host the Italian President at the Jubilee House, the seat of government.
In a Facebook post Dr Bawumia wrote: “I received the Italian President, H.E Sergio Mattarella to Ghana this evening.
H. E Mattarella’s visit is centered on education, energy and security discussions and also to strengthen the diplomatic bond between Ghana and Italy.”
