The National Association of Graduate Teachers, NAGRAT, has given the Ministry of Education a two-week deadline to resolve challenges faced by professional teachers within Technical and Vocational Education and Training, TVET.
NAGRAT raised concerns over the lack of consultation of teachers’ representatives during the migration of teachers from the Ghana Education Service to TVET without their consent.
In an interview on Accra based station, NAGRAT President, Angel Carbonu, said the Union has met with the Ministry and agreed on a two-week time line to address the issue.
Meanwhile, the Ghana National Association of Teachers, GNAT, has called on the government to release outstanding payments to the Ghana Education Service.
GNAT accuses the government of defaulting.
