Minister-Designate for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Madam Emelia Arthur has pledged to ensure the effective and efficient operationalization of the Anomabo Fisheries College for knowledge acquisition.

The Fisheries College which construction started in 2013 in Anomabo, was abandoned, but the Minister-Designate for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development has given the assurance that the long-awaited Fisheries College will be fully operational before she leaves office.

Madam Arthur gave the assurance when she appeared before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, for her vetting.

“That, it was under I Emelia Arthur that the long-awaited Fisheries College that we started in 2013 in Anomabo became operational. The Indigenous part is very important to me because of our fisher’s knowledge,” she reiterated.
