The Bono-Ahafo Regional Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service has recorded an increase in domestic violence cases from 864 in 2017 to one thousand one hundred and nineteen last year.
This represents a 15.21 percent increase with additional 155 cases.
The Head of the Unit, DSP Setina Aboagye, revealed this in an interview with Radio Ghana in Sunyani and attributed it to an upsurge in cases involving violence particularly with DOVVSU’s expansion to Nkoranza and Dormaa Ahenkro.
