One thousand girls at the Northern Business Senior High School (NOBISCO), are without a dormitory following a thirty-minute rainstorm that hit the school on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
The storm ripped off the roof of the girls’ dormitory, which houses one thousand female students.
The management of the school has created a temporary accommodation for the girls in an already congested boys’ dormitory.
The Headmaster of the school, Alhassan Dokurugu, described the situation as “urgent.”
When GBC News correspondent arrived at the school, the students were still trying to dry their mattresses and clothes.
