The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has officially taken office as the new Board Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).
He was sworn in during a ceremony held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
At the same event, Professor Ransford Gyampo, who is currently the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority, was also introduced as a member of the newly formed board.

The appointments are part of the government’s effort to improve leadership and strengthen the governance of the GPHA.
The new board is expected to provide clear policy direction, boost efficiency at the ports, and help drive major infrastructure projects across the country’s port facilities.
