The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has issued a strong warning to the general public regarding a wave of fraudulent messages targeting applicants involved in its ongoing recruitment for the Community Police Assistants and Fire Service Assistants modules.

In an official statement released on its verified social media platforms, the agency expressed concern over the circulation of fake recruitment messages, particularly reports of scammers demanding payment of GH¢500.00 from unsuspecting applicants.

“The YEA does not charge any fees at any stage of its recruitment process,” the statement read. “Any demand for payment, including the widely reported GH¢500.00 scam, is false and should be ignored.”

The agency further clarified that it does not contact applicants through private phone numbers, emphasizing that all official communications are made exclusively through its and other verified channels.

YEA is urging the public to remain alert and report any suspicious communication or activity to the nearest YEA Regional or District Office. The agency stressed that it has put in place appropriate measures to track down and bring offenders to justice in accordance with the law.

The YEA reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and integrity in its recruitment processes, assuring applicants that the legitimate procedures remain free and accessible to all qualified individuals.
