Ghana is set to roll out a nationwide digital education initiative that will benefit over 1.3 million students, following a new partnership with Japan’s Life is Tech and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
The collaboration with Ghana’s Ministry of Education was unveiled on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. It is expected to introduce cutting-edge coding and digital literacy programmes to senior high schools across the country, while equipping learners with essential skills for today’s tech-driven world.

Students will gain access to comprehensive coding courses designed to build their abilities in programming, logical thinking, and problem-solving, all vital for thriving in the digital economy.

The initiative also prioritises inclusivity by providing digital resources to ensure students from diverse backgrounds can access quality tech education, helping to bridge educational inequalities.
