The Africa Business Festival, a premier event celebrating African entrepreneurship and innovation, has been urged to translate ambition into action and drive the continent’s economic growth.
CEO of Enzee Group Limited and Founder of the Africa Business Festival, Eldee Sefadzi, emphasized the need for Africa to take its rightful place in the global economy.
Speaking at the festival, Sefadzi declared, “We are not here by chance. We are here by choice. We are here because we refuse to let the future of Africa be written by someone else’s hand.”
He stressed that Africa’s potential can no longer be ignored, citing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and technological advancements as key drivers of growth.
Sefadzi commended the current government’s 24-Hour Economy initiative, saying it represents a mindset shift towards productivity and opportunity.
“Bold visions require bold policies,” he noted, adding that Africa’s productivity should never sleep and opportunity should never be locked behind the clock.
The entrepreneur challenged attendees to take concrete actions, saying, “Leave this festival with a deal signed, a partnership formed, a vision sharpened. Do not just exchange business cards, exchange commitments.”
He emphasized that Africa must stop waiting and start leading, building on its own strengths and innovations.
Quoting Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Sefadzi said, “We face neither East nor West, we face forward.”
He stated that, “When history looks back on this moment, let it say: Here was where Africa stopped waiting and started leading.”
