The General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers’ Union (ICU), Morgan Ayawine, has been re-elected for a second term at the union’s 12th Quadrennial Delegates’ Conference.
In his acceptance remarks, Mr Ayawine called for unity among members to build a stronger front in the fight for workers’ rights, pledging to make the ICU a true “people’s union.”
He described the outcome of the elections as a victory for continuity, efficiency and progress, stressing that the re-elected executives remain resolute in advancing the Union’s mandate.

The officers elected to steer the affairs of the ICU for the next four years, alongside Mr Ayawine, include: National Chairman – Alhaji Nureeden Al-Hassan; National Vice Chairman – Brother Paul Kofi Charway; Deputy General Secretary (Operations) – Brother Emmanuel Baah Benimah; and National Second Trustee – Sister Jemima Fafa Seneya-Bentum.
