A young man, identified as Kwadwo Bright, has allegedly been stabbed to death after a fight over a plastic chair turned violent at Ashanti New Town in Kumasi.
The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, September 4, 2025, after a disagreement between Kwadwo and a friend escalated. Eyewitnesses said the two quarreled at a snooker centre over who owned the chair. Although the matter was initially resolved, the suspect later confronted Kwadwo and stabbed him in the neck.
Speaking in tears, Kwadwo’s mother, Georgina Yeboah, recounted the heartbreaking moment she arrived at the scene.
“I heard people screaming about a stabbing and rushed there, only to find my son in a critical state. The issue had reportedly been settled, but the suspect later attacked and stabbed him in the neck. Sadly, he died this morning,” she said.
According to myjoyonline, Kwadwo was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
