The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana (IEAG) has commended the Bank of Ghana for its strong leadership in stabilising the cedi and improving the country’s macroeconomic outlook.
A delegation from the Association, led by its Executive Secretary, Samson Awingobit Asaki paid a courtesy call on the Governor of the Bank, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama at the Bank Square in Accra.



The delegation was received by the Second Deputy Governor, Matilda Asante-Asiedu. Mr. Awingobit praised the Central Bank for its policies under the leadership of Dr. Asiama, which he said have brought some relief to businesses. He however, appealed for further support to address issues that require the Bank’s intervention.

Dr. Asiama in his response, assured the business community of the Bank’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for trade and investment. He reaffirmed the Bank’s resolve to maintain currency stability and safeguard the broader economy.
