Noah Lyles of the United States captured the gold medal in the men’s 200-meter final at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships, clocking an impressive 19.52 seconds. This victory cements Lyles as only the second man in history to win four world titles in the 200m event, a feat previously achieved solely by Usain Bolt.
The race was tightly contested, with fellow American Kenny Bednarek finishing strong to secure the silver medal with a time of 19.58 seconds. Jamaica’s Bryan Levell edged just behind with a bronze-winning 19.64 seconds, while Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth in 19.65 seconds.
Lyles’ victory adds to his collection of world titles over the last six years. He previously took gold in Doha 2019, Eugene 2022 and Budapest 2023, showcasing his consistency and dominance in the 200m on the global stage. His 2025 performance in Tokyo underscores his status as one of the greatest sprinters of his generation.
