GCB Bank PLC has taken a significant step towards improving women’s health in Ghana by donating to Maltiti Care International’s inaugural Maternal Health Summit and Fistula Surgeries Project. This year’s event promises to be a landmark occasion, bringing together stakeholders to discuss critical issues affecting maternal health and identify sustainable solutions.
Maltiti Care International established in 2019 is an award-winning foundation, has been at the forefront of advocacy and support for women’s health, particularly in northern Ghana. Their initiatives focus on providing free fistula surgeries, promoting maternal health awareness, and empowering vulnerable women and girls. The foundation has done collaborations with the National Youth Authority among, Islamic Ummah Relief others.

The Maternal Health Summit will feature discussions on critical issues, including obstetric fistula, maternal mortality, and access to quality healthcare. The event will also launch the “Nurture Box” initiative, aimed at providing essential care and support to mothers and children.
