Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has expressed deep sorrow following the tragic stampede that claimed the lives of six young Ghanaians and left several others injured during a Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise.
In a statement issued by her office on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the Vice President extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured a swift and full recovery.
“The Vice President has received with profound sorrow the tragic news of the stampede that claimed the lives of six young Ghanaians, all aspiring to join the Ghana Armed Forces,” the statement read.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang urged the public to remain calm as authorities launch a full investigation into the incident and take urgent steps to prevent a recurrence.
The statement, signed by her Press Secretary and Spokesperson, Ama Pratt, assured the affected families of the government’s support during this difficult time.
