Vice President Opoku-Agyemang visits injured GAF applicants at 37 Military Hospital

‎Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has visited the survivors of Wednesday’s deadly stampede at the El-Wak Sports Stadium, offering comfort and assurance as they undergo treatment at the 37 Military Hospital.

‎Accompanied by Deputy Defence Minister Brogya Gyemfi and the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General William Agyapong, the Vice President went from ward to ward to interact with the victims.

‎‎Prof. Opoku-Agyemang offered words of comfort to the injured and assured them of the government’s full support throughout their treatment and recovery. She also commended the medical team at the hospital for their swift and professional response to the emergency.

‎“We are deeply grateful for the tireless work of the medical team. Their commitment at this very difficult moment has been truly commendable,” she said.

‎The Vice President extended her sympathies to all affected families and said the government stands with them as investigations into the stampede continue.

‎Authorities are expected to provide further updates on the inquiry in the coming days.
