Ashfoam Rewards 12 selected GJA Media Awards Winners in Support of Journalism Excellence.

Twelve journalists who shone at the 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Media Awards have received reward packages from Ashfoam Ghana, fulfilling a sponsorship pledge made during the awards ceremony.

The initiative underscores Ashfoam’s commitment to supporting excellence in journalism and recognizing the hard work of media professionals across the country. Among the recipients are the GJA/PAV Ansah Journalist of the Year, Godwin Asedeba of TV3 and the Best Female Journalist of the Year, Doreen Ampofo of GBC.

Speaking at a brief ceremony at Ashfoam’s headquarters in Accra, Head of Marketing and Communications, Nana Yaw Ampem-Darko Antwi, said the gesture aims to motivate journalists to continue their dedicated work, which plays a critical role in nation-building.

GJA President, Albert Dwumfour, commended Ashfoam for the support and challenged other corporate institutions to join in appreciating hardworking media practitioners. He also encouraged journalists to support local businesses, noting that thriving local enterprises give back to society and strengthen communities.

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, the Best Female Journalist of the Year, Doreen Ampofo of GBC, expressed gratitude for the recognition and support, highlighting how such partnerships inspire media professionals to maintain high standards of reporting and professionalism.

The GJA welcomed Ashfoam’s initiative, noting that collaborations between corporate organizations and media houses are vital for building a robust and motivated journalism sector in Ghana.
