Hohoe United Football Club have announced the signing of experienced forward Lawson Bekui, as the club looks to strengthen its attacking lineup for the remainder of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Bekui, a former Hot Steel FC and Dreams FC striker, brings a wealth of experience from his time in various top leagues outside Ghana.
The proficient goal-scorer has previously played for clubs in Romania (ACSM Poli Iasi), Finland (AC Kajaani), Spain (Extremadura), Saudi Arabia (Al-Rawdah, Al-Entesar, Al-Sahel), and Oman (Dofar Club).

Bekui’s signing is Hohoe United’s first major transfer of the second transfer window, as the team looks to bolster its squad and improve its current 11th-place standing in the league table, with 17 points from 14 matches.
Fans are eagerly awaiting his debut, hoping his experience will help propel the team to success as they cannot wait to sing thier popular chants “ Womeee, Womeetor, Womeenor literally (Who are you? Male or Female we don’t see or recognize you)
A notable chapter in Bekui’s career was his standout performance with Dreams FC in the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League season, where he finished as the club’s top goal-scorer with 7 goals and led the league’s top scorers chart in the first round before departing abroad.

With his recent signing, Bekui is looking to reignite that form and help Hohoe United achieve success, potentially completing the unfinished business he started during that 2015/16 Ghana Premier League season.
