The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five of its officers for acts of misconduct linked to the unauthorized use of police uniforms on social media platforms.
In a press release issued by the Public Affairs Directorate at the Police Headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Service said the officers were found to have used official police uniforms for purposes not sanctioned by the Service on social media.
The interdicted officers are:
No. 45545 G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale
No. 50300 G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere
No. 51816 G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo
No. 56563 G/Cpl. Charles Oduro
No. 14494 PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor

According to the statement, the interdiction is part of measures to allow for further investigations and ensure due process.
The officers have subsequently been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigation and any necessary disciplinary action.
The Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to upholding professionalism, discipline and ethical conduct within the Service, particularly in relation to the use of official uniforms and conduct on social media.
