The newly elected Executive Board of the Ghana Boxing Federation, led by President Alhaji Dauda Fuseni, has paid a courtesy call on National Sports Authority boss Yaw Ampofo Ankrah on Wednesday.
The visit was to officially introduce themselves to the NSA director and seek a fruitful working relationship with the Authority after a rigorous election that ousted former President Benard Laryea from office.
Briefing the NSA boss on their plans after assumption of office, Alhaji Dauda Fuseini hinted his readiness to learn and correct certain mistakes that he believed occurred in the last administration and improve on them.
He further mentioned immediate activities ahead of the federation and sort the support of the NSA’s support to host them, especially an up-and-coming championship being held to prepare boxers ahead of the Commonwealth and Youth Olympics Games.
In his welcome address was definite in his bid for executives to face their mandates without excuses and implored them to hit the ground running because of limited time, “there is no time to waste, we are looking forward to you populating the office and start action as soon as possible.
He further assured them that once it’s boxing, the NSA is always ready to offer their facilities to the association for the necessary events.
The rest of the team members are Adama Addy – 1st Vice, Solomon Lartey – 2nd Vice, Mustapha Nettey -Treasurer, George Lamptey- Member, Emelia Ansah – General Secretary and Charles Joojo Ephson – Communication Officer.
