The Ghana Police Service has arrested three additional suspects in connection with the daylight armed robbery at a gold jewellery shop in Adabraka in Accra, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to seven.
The suspects, identified as Fatao Mohammed alias Motorway, Nashiru Abubakari alias Soldier, and Sadick Abubakar Satire alias 50 Cent, were arrested on January 19, 2026. Police say the three are believed to be the ringleaders of the robbery syndicate.
The robbery incident occurred on November 2, 2024, when armed men attacked a jewellery shop in broad daylight and made away with GH¢7.5 million. The attack shocked residents and business owners in the area.
Police say investigations are still ongoing to track down any remaining accomplices involved in the crime.
The Ghana Police Service has assured the public of its continued commitment to ensuring that all persons connected to the robbery are arrested and made to face the law.
