The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has rescued a dog trapped in a well at Amamorley Canada Junction.
A three-member team, led by ADO1 Nana Kobina Biney, responded to the distress call on 20 January 2026 and arrived within minutes. Using standard rescue procedures, the team successfully freed the animal unharmed.

The rescue operation, shared by the GNFS on its Facebook page, has drawn praise from members of the public for the swift and professional response.
