The Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has paid a visit to the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS) at James Town in Accra to assess the ongoing recruitment screening exercise for the Ghana National Fire Service.

During his visit to the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS), the Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, commended the smooth and orderly conduct of the recruitment screening exercise and assured applicants of a fair, transparent, and merit-based process.

The Minister attributed the successful organisation of the exercise to effective planning and strong coordination among the security agencies.

Alhaji Mohammed-Mubarak emphasised that the recruitment process is fair and urged applicants to avoid third-party interference. He took a strong stance against corruption and exploitation, cautioning applicants to beware of fraudulent individuals and middlemen who promise guaranteed success in exchange for money. The Minister warned that such deceptive practices will not be tolerated, and anyone involved in these schemes would face immediate arrest and prosecution.

The Minister also thanked security officers for their good work and applicants for choosing to serve Ghana. The recruitment exercise has seen the implementation of digital reforms, including a centralized e-recruitment portal, to enhance transparency and efficiency.

Applicants who successfully pass the initial screening will proceed to an online aptitude test, after which shortlisted candidates will undergo medical examinations.
