Okudzeto Ablakwa commends Ghana Embassy Staff in UAE for supporting Black Queens

Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has praised staff of the Ghana Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for what he described as their “remarkable patriotism, courage, compassion and professionalism” in assisting the national women’s football team, the Black Queens.

The statement comes at a time when Ghana’s diplomatic missions across the region remain on heightened alert, closely monitoring the evolving security situation and offering timely guidance, consular assistance, and necessary support to Ghanaian nationals whenever required.

In a Facebook post, the Minister commended the embassy officials for providing consular support and ensuring the safety of the 41-member Ghanaian delegation made up of 25 players and 16 officials currently visiting the UAE.

Mr Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa says, the embassy staff have demonstrated exceptional dedication by closely monitoring the team’s welfare and taking proactive steps to guarantee their collective security.

The Minister emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens abroad, assuring that no Ghanaian would ever be abandoned in harm’s way.
