JS Construction has announced a three-year full scholarship package for two female students at Kumasi Technical University (KTU), alongside the donation of an industrial printer to support academic work at the institution.

The initiative, led by the company’s Managing Director, Joshua Selasi Sefogah, targets students pursuing construction-related programmes at the Department of Construction Technology and Quantity Surveying under the Faculty of Built and Natural Environment (FBNE).

An alumnus of the faculty, Mr Sefogah said the scholarship scheme aims to promote gender inclusion and academic excellence in a traditionally male-dominated field. The JS Group Female Scholarship Scheme will be renewable every three years.

The company is also expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the faculty in the coming week to formalise the scholarship package and introduce structured internship opportunities for students.

As part of the engagement, JS Construction donated a high-capacity Canon multifunctional printer to the faculty to support the secure printing and photocopying of examination materials.

Mr Sefogah announced that the company will commit one per cent of its total contract sums in 2026 to education under its “1% for Education” initiative, marking the start of its corporate social responsibility agenda for the year.

Dean of the faculty, Prof. F. K. Bondinuba, commended the gesture, describing it as a significant contribution that will improve academic delivery and create long-term opportunities for students.
