Speaking during the presentation of a GH¢5 million donation from GCB Bank to the Black Stars fundraising campaign, the Minister revealed that combined support from government and corporate partners helped finalize the broadcasting arrangements. The funding drive has been central to strengthening Ghana’s World Cup preparations.

World Cup Matches to Air on Selected Ghanaian Media Platforms

Kofi Adams explained that agreements have been concluded to ensure live coverage of matches on designated television and media outlets in Ghana. He emphasized that the arrangement will allow millions of supporters to follow the action from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

National Fundraising Drive Boosts Black Stars Campaign

The GCB Bank contribution forms part of a wider national initiative aimed at mobilizing resources for the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 tournament. The government recently launched a campaign encouraging corporate institutions and stakeholders to support the team’s preparation and participation.

Black Stars Prepare for Group L Challenge and Friendlies

Ghana will make its fifth World Cup appearance in Group L, where they face England, Croatia, and Panama. The team opens its campaign against Panama in Toronto on June 17, before meeting England and Croatia, while also playing warm-up friendlies against Mexico and Wales in the build-up.
