Ketu North Member of Parliament, Eric Edem Agbana, has donated GHC5,000 to Yadzo Oti Warriors FC following the death of the club’s owner and chairman, Mohammed Haruna Muniru.
The donation was presented to the team on Sunday, May 24, 2026, after their opening match in the ongoing Volta Regional Middle League at the Regional FA Secretariat in Ho.
The club is currently mourning the loss of its owner, Mohammed Haruna Muniru, whose financial and administrative support sustained the team.
His death comes at a critical time as Yadzo Oti Warriors FC competes in the Volta Regional Middle League for qualification to the Division One League.
Chairman of the Volta Regional Football Association, Daniel Agbogah, who witnessed the presentation, thanked the MP on behalf of the Regional FA Executive Council and the club.
He said the gesture would support the team during this difficult period following the loss of its financier and leader.
Mr. Agbana expressed condolences to the players, technical team and management of the club, and urged them to remain focused throughout the competition.
Management of Yadzo Oti Warriors FC also thanked the MP for the support.
The Volta Regional Middle League which started on the 23rd of May 2026 is ongoing at the Ho Sports Stadium, with the final scheduled for May 31, 2026.
