Ghana’s Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has announced that each member of the Black Stars squad will receive an appearance fee of $100,000 for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The package, approved by the government, is confirmed as the team prepares for the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

- $100,000 per player as an appearance fee for representing Ghana at the World Cup.
- The government is awaiting the release of a GH¢150 million World Cup budget from the Ministry of Finance to fund the team’s full participation, including travel, accommodation, training, logistics and bonuses.
- The announcement coincides with the final phase of squad preparations, with the team in Cardiff ahead of the friendly against Wales on June 2 and the expected announcement of the final 26‑man squad on June 1.
