Former President Mahama dismisses calls to appear befor Emile Short Commission

Former President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed calls from a section of the public for him to appear before the Justice Emile Short Commission saying he is not an eyewitness to the incident.

Speaking at Bole in the Savannah Region after casting his vote, Mr. Mahama also welcomed the call from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the two leading political parties the National Democratic Party, (NDC) and the New Patrotic Party, (NPP), to dialogue and  to find  a solution to the growing menace of militias in the parties.

Mr. Mahama expressed worry over the menace of polical militiarism and called for an immediate solution in resolving it.

He was optimistic about his chances of winning the 2020 polls and assured the rank and file of the party that the NDC emerge stronger after Saturday’s election.

More than 700 delegates have cast their vote before 1:30. There are 762 candidates in the Bole Bamboi constituency.
