EU to support Ghana's budget with €40 million

The European Union (EU), is to support Ghana’s budget with €40 million.

The contract for the amount which is to be signed in the next few weeks will bind Ghana to make the office of the Special Prosecutor functional, improve the business climate and grow a steady democracy.

Speaking at a meeting with journalists in Accra, the EU Ambassador to Ghana, Diana Acconcia said the EU is not focused on tracking where the money goes, its interest is to ensure its efficient use.

Describing current entrepreneurs are geniuses, Madam Acconcia said no business in Europe will survive with interest rates as high as 35 percent, as prevails in Ghana.
